Beginning Monday, March 23, children, age 18 and under, can enjoy a FREE, nutritious, "grab-and-go" breakfast and lunch while our schools are closed. Registration is not required and children do not need to be Mead students to participate. However, children must be present to pick up a sack meal, which includes lunch and breakfast for the following day. Read more . . .
Following Governor Inslee's March 13th Emergency Declaration, all Mead School District schools will be closed for students starting Tuesday, March 17 through at least April 24, 2020, in an effort to aggressively slow the spread of COVID-19. Join us for an informational evening that will answer your questions about the new middle school, Highland. You are encouraged and welcome to join us in the Prairie View gym on Thursday, March 19th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. This evening is for parents, as the students will receive a visit from the Highland administration at their school on March 17th.
March 2-6, 2020 is Read Across America Week. Have your student complete the daily challenges, sign the slip and return it to school the next day for a chance at fun daily prizes.
